Function description:
As Webdesigner, you will be responsible for the concept, layout, visual appearance and usability of a website. Using a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created, the work involves:
- In order to write the story board, liaising closely with the account or client to answer questions such as: why is the site needed? who are the target audience? who are the leading competitors? etc
- Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required
- Finding the right balance between aesthetic and technological limits
- Writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML, Javascript, and Flash or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver
- Deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimised and presented for the web
- Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions
Is this your Profile?
- High school degree in graphic design or web design. A If you are convinced that your acquired experience compensates this degree, don’t hesitate to apply!
- 3+ years of work experience in Internet web design business
- Excellent graphic skills, good knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash is a must
- Highly creative drive to produce refreshing, innovative and original graphical design
- High energy level, passionate about the Internet
- Proven experience in usability concepts and methodologies
- Knowledge of coding standards
- Fluent in French or Dutch and English
